Size and placement tips for small tattoos
- Fine lines need a little room. Very tiny designs with lots of detail can blur over time, so let your artist suggest a size that keeps the lines clear.
- Measure first. Give a height and width in centimetres, for example 4 cm by 3 cm, rather than “small”.
- Placement changes the look. Wrist, forearm, ankle, collarbone and behind the ear are popular for small pieces.
- High-friction areas such as fingers and the side of the foot tend to fade faster.
