Who we are

The Wishink Well is a tattoo studio at Jl. Bunisari No. 36E, Kuta, Bali, Indonesia. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website, thewishinkwell.com, and when you contact us by WhatsApp or email.

Information you provide

When you send an enquiry you may give us your first and last name, country, preferred appointment or travel dates, tattoo style, tattoo idea, size, placement and reference photos. If you choose the email option, we also receive your email address. If you use WhatsApp, we receive your WhatsApp number and the messages you send.

Please share only what your enquiry needs. Do not send identity documents, payment card details or sensitive medical information through the website. Anything needed for tattoo consent or suitability is discussed separately at the studio.

How our enquiry forms work

  • WhatsApp (default): the form prepares a message and opens WhatsApp so you can review and send it. Your enquiry reaches us only when you press send in WhatsApp. WhatsApp processes messages under its own privacy policy.
  • Email (if you don’t use WhatsApp): the form sends your details to our studio inbox through our website’s email service, so we can reply to you by email. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking and does not give us permission to publish your photos or send you promotions.

How we use your information

We use enquiry information to answer your questions, discuss designs, give you a quote, check availability, arrange and provide your booking, and send relevant follow-up or aftercare messages. For visitors in the EU, EEA or UK, we rely on taking steps at your request before a contract and on our legitimate interest in running the studio; where the law requires consent (for example for analytics cookies), we ask for it first.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 (to understand how visitors use the site) and Google Ads conversion tracking (to see which ads lead to enquiries). These tools may set cookies and process information such as your device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed, the ad you clicked and whether you sent an enquiry. They do not receive the content of your tattoo idea, your name or your email address.

Your choice: visitors in Europe (EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland) see a cookie banner. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you press “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings (also in the website footer). Outside Europe these cookies are on by default, and you can switch them off the same way. If you decline, Google may still receive limited, cookieless signals that cannot identify you (Google Consent Mode).

  • _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics): count and distinguish visits, up to 2 years.
  • _gcl_au, _gcl_aw (Google Ads): link an ad click to an enquiry, up to 90 days.
  • wishink_consent (stored in your browser, not a cookie): remembers your cookie choice.
  • WordPress login cookies: used only for studio staff who log in to manage the website.

Who may access your information

Studio staff who handle enquiries and bookings, and the guest artist chosen for your tattoo (only the design references and appointment details they need). Service providers that help us run the website and communications also process information for us: our website host (Hostinger), our email delivery service, WhatsApp/Meta for WhatsApp messages and Google for analytics and advertising. We may disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

We are based in Indonesia, and some of our providers (such as Google and Meta) process information in other countries, including the United States. When you contact us from abroad, your information is transferred to Indonesia and to those providers. They protect transferred data under their own safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

Photos and portfolio use

We always ask separately before using identifiable photos of you or your tattoo on our website, social media or promotional material. Booking a tattoo does not give that permission automatically. You can withdraw permission for future use at any time.

How long we keep information

  • Enquiries that do not become bookings: deleted from our active WhatsApp and email records within 12 months of the last message.
  • Completed bookings: relevant conversations kept for up to 24 months after your final session, then deleted unless still needed.
  • Google Analytics data: kept for 14 months.
  • Records needed for legal, accounting or dispute purposes may be kept longer, only for those purposes.

Protecting your information

Only people who need customer information for their work can access it, and we use account and device safeguards. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, or withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect anything done before). Contact admin@thewishinkwell.com or WhatsApp +62 823-3907-8990. We may need to verify your identity, and we will reply within the time the law requires. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our website is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our services or data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
