What to Send When Asking for a Tattoo Quote
You have an idea for a tattoo. Perhaps it is a saved photo, a handwritten word or a subject you keep coming back to. You do not need a finished design before starting a conversation with us.
A few details help us understand what you have in mind and discuss a quote that fits the piece.
Start with your references
Send one or two images that show the direction you like. Tell us what you like about them: the linework, the composition, the subject or the overall feeling. If there is something you want to change, include that too.
Your reference is a starting point for the discussion. We will talk about how the idea could work for your tattoo.
Give us an approximate size
A measurement in centimetres is more useful than “small” or “medium”. If you can, share both the height and width. For example: around 8cm tall and 5cm wide.
If you are unsure, say so. You can describe the space you would like the design to occupy and discuss the size with our team.
Tell us the placement
Include the body area and which side: left forearm, right upper arm or outside of the calf, for example. Size and placement help us understand the space available for the design.
Mention the details that matter
Tell us whether you are imagining fine lines, bold shapes, colour or black ink. For lettering, send the exact wording and spelling. For a design with personal meaning, share the details you want included, as much as you feel comfortable sharing.
Add your preferred dates
If you are visiting Bali, include your arrival and departure dates and the day you would prefer to come in. Appointment availability and the time needed for a design must be discussed with our team.
An example message you can send
Your first message can be simple. Here’s an example you can adapt:
Hi The Wishink Well! I’d like a black fine line botanical tattoo, approximately 8cm tall and 5cm wide, on my left inner forearm. I’ll be in Bali from 20–27 November and would prefer an appointment on 22 November. I’ve attached two reference images. Could we discuss the design, price and availability?
Replace the details with your own idea, placement and dates. If you’re unsure about the size or style, mention that—we can discuss it together. You can attach your reference images once WhatsApp opens.
What happens next?
At The Wishink Well, studio prices start from USD 59. Your individual quote depends on the size, placement and complexity of the design. The minimum is not a fixed price for every tattoo.
Once the design details, price and availability are agreed, a 50% deposit is required to book. Sending an enquiry by itself does not confirm an appointment.
